The International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania

The Commission prepares a methodological package on education about the Holocaust and Soviet crimes – methodological guidelines, teaching material, and resource book designed for teachers and students.

The design is based on:

• Advanced foreign methodologies

• Personal experience

• Peculiarities of the history of Lithuania

• Discussions, evaluations and recommendations of Tolerance Education Centres

The package will consist of the education programme, didactic and methodological publications, the list of recommended historical and fictional literature, visual materials (posters, maps, educational documentary and motion-picture films, CDs, website addresses, etc.).

It is already prepared these methodological recommendations:

• Educational program “The Jewish Vilnius”
• The lessons plans on how to teach about Holocaust
