National Artistic Conference of 2018 „Stories of the Jewish people, having resided in Lithuanian towns and settlements”
The aim of the conference is to foster the historical memory, to remember the prosperous Jewish communities in Lithuania, their contribution to the development of the state of Lithuania, and to remember as well as to honour the victims of the Holocaust. The conference is dedicated to the commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
At the conference, teachers and pupils introduced their feature films, literary compositions, slide shows on the Jewish people, having lived in various places in Lithuania before the Second World War.
The event took place on 26 January 2018 in the region of Raseiniai, in Ariogala. The conference was organized by the International Commission together with the Tolerance Education Centre of the Ariogala Gymnasium. The event was partially supported by the Goodwill Fund.
