The year of 2020 in Lithuania has been declared the year of the Jewish History in Lithuania and Chiune Sugihara. The pupils of the gymnasium participated in the integrated interdisciplinary project of history, civic education, geography, the English language and the Lithuanian language and literature “Chiune Sugihara and the visas to life issued by him”. They got introduced to the activities of a Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara in Lithuania during World War II. The documentary “Kaunas. The signs of Sugihara and Japan” and the feature film “Persona non grata“ were watched and reviewed. The gymnasium pupils collected material about this Righteous among the Nations personality, prepared information about it on the Padlet platform in Lithuanian and English. The prepared project was sent to the community of the Tucishava School in Japan, so that the pupils could learn about the activities of
the diplomat who worked in our country and get to know more about him.
