A workshop in Kėdainiai

On March 28 and 29, a seminar for educators was held at the Multicultural Center of the Regional Museum of Kėdainiai.

The seminar in Kėdainiai was attended by teachers and museum staff who participated in an internship in Israel in the summer of 2023 at Yad Vashem, the International School for Holocaust Studies. During the seminar, the participants visited the site of Holocaust victims in the village of Daukšių, took part in an educational excursion through the multicultural city of Kėdainiai, discussed the knowledge acquired during the internship, the use of the methodological materials brought back, and visited museums and memorial sites in Israel.

The group of educators watched the film Briha and became acquainted with the material available on the Centropa website: photos, biographies, and educational films.

Following the internship at the Yad Vashem Institution, a two-day workshop on “The Use of Methodological Materials and Museum Exhibits in the Educational Process” was organized within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the International Commission and Yad Vashem – International School for Holocaust Studies.

The Secretariat of the International Commission organized the event in cooperation with its long-term partner, the Kėdainiai Regional Museum.
