On March 15, 2023, Kaunas Jonas and Petras Vileišiai School celebrated the Day of the Righteous Among the Nations for the first time.
During the Global Education lessons, students watched a documentary film about Lithuanians – Righteous Among the Nations, learned their names, searched for information, solved a crossword puzzle, and got acquainted with the concepts of the Holocaust.
In their history lessons, students from 8b will continue to explore the lives of Kaunas’ righteous men and women and the feats they performed to save people from death. Such lessons are essential in today’s context.
