On July 13–15, an international seminar titled “1,000 Years of the History of Polish Jews” took place at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
It brought together educators from 12 countries. All participants had previously attended seminars organized by the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem. Lithuania was represented by three educators: Arūnė Vaičiūnaitė-Levuškinienė (Marijampolė Meilė Lukšienė Education Centre, “Sūduva” Gymnasium), Dalia Uržaitė (Kaunas “Nemunas” School), and Ingrida Vilkienė (Secretariat of the International Commission). The seminar was organized for the international educational community by Yad Vashem in cooperation with the POLIN Museum in Warsaw.
