On May 26, a one-day seminar was held in Marijampolė for students participating in the international IMAGINE project.
During the one-day seminar, students from “Sūduva” Gymnasium and Petro Armino Pro-Gymnasium in Marijampole discussed the activities they participated in on March 24 during their visit to Vilnius. They discussed the educational tour and the tasks the students completed during their visit to the Paneriai Memorial. They also spoke about Fania Brancovskaja and Marija Rolnikaitė, whose biographies served as the basis for a walking tour of Vilnius’s Old Town—the former site of the Vilnius Ghetto. Ingrida Vilkienė, the International Commission’s education program coordinator, presented a methodology for students to create video segments showcasing the IMAGINE project’s activities.
The one-day seminar in Marijampolė was organized by the Secretariat of the International Commission in cooperation with the Tolerance Education Centers in Marijampolė: the Marijampolė Meilė Lukšienė Education Center, the Marijampolė “Sūduva” Gymnasium, and the Marijampolė Petro Armino Pro-Gymnasium.
