The follow-up seminar for teachers who participated in the international Memorial de la Shoah project

On May 13, an online seminar brought together teachers who participated in the international project “The Holocaust as a Starting Point” in 2025.
During the online meeting, participants reflected on the seminar held in Vilnius in September 2025. The seminar was organized by the Memorial de la Shoah (France), in cooperation with the International Commission’s Secretariat and the Ministries of Education of Latvia and Estonia. One of its main objectives was to familiarize participants with the learning activities “The Holocaust in the Baltic Region,” developed by teachers from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia: Zlata Hakele, Edita Sedaitienė, Dagmar Seljamäe, and Dmitrijs Kisļakovs. During the seminar, Béatrice Munaro, an educational advisor from France, addressed Lithuanian teachers, encouraging them to use the teaching materials and to share their opinions—such as how students understand the learning activity, what questions arise when using it, and so on.

Lithuanian teachers discussed the 2025 international seminar, the lecturers’ presentations, and shared their insights about its benefits.

The seminar was organized online by the Memorial de la Shoah (France) with the International Commission’s Secretariat.
