The lecture on Jewish schools in interwar Lithuania attracted a lot of teachers’ attention

On 14 May an on-line lecture was given to teachers about Jewish schools operating in interwar Lithuania.

The lecture “Jewish schools in interwar Lithuania” attracted great interest among teachers. The lecture was given by a lecturer, a professional guide Daniel Gurevich. The lecturer told about former Jewish schools in Kaunas – the Provisional capital, provided information on the academic subjects, showed photos of the buildings of the former Jewish schools in Kaunas. The lecturer Daniel Gurevich gave a comparison about the Jewish schools, operating in Kaunas and Vilnius, which was occupied by Poland at that time. Although the lecture was given on-line, the lecturer received many questions.

The on-line lecture was organized by the Secretariat of the International Commission together with the International Yiddish center of the World Jewish Congress.
