Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas gymnasium, Public Institution Maceva (the Litvak cemetery catalogue) and Alytus municipality are supporting the implementation of the project to inventory and digitize the old Jewish cemeteries in Alytus. This project aims to enumerate and mark graves in the cemetery and presumably the former decayed graves, to arrange the cemetery territory by removing leaves and the moss layer, covering the graves. Also, it is planned to bring out and to take pictures of the tombstone inscriptions, to translate them from Hebrew and to use this data in the book, planned to be issued on the Jewish community of Alytus.
